5 stars for the recording. I think it is an excellent balance. I think the crowd noise adds to the power of the recording without getting in the way. its one of many great performances as well.

Worth it just for Head!
Only my 7th show and what a show it was! Holy crap! Forget the crowd... check out that Head! Also, the Butterfly & the Tree with the lapsteel opening is great too.

Complaining about crowd noise? Uhhh - have you ever been to Irving Plaza (oops - I mean "The Filmore East at Irving Plaza)?
We have been taping Irving for years & this is the best your gonna get outta that place. Great little venue. Will miss the 'old vibe' at Irving. If you want a quieter atmosphere for a night in NYC might I suggest the public library??

How is this the most downloaded rre show? You can hear the crowd noise the whole time. It sounds like an energetic show to attend but there are far better downloads. Some people are too quick to rock the five star rating.
